yup, already. to make a long story short, we found mold in the HVAC (the heater/AC system) and since they only want to fix part of the problem rather than the whole thing, they have agreed to release us from our lease. We would like to buy a house this time instead of rent so we are madly looking for something that we’d be happy with. We’ve never bought a house before and don’t want to settle for just anything. So we’re suppose to be gone by the end of january. we’ll see how that goes… so please pray for us. We are waiting on God’s goodness, generosity, and perfect timing. (We do realize a lot of homes should hit the market after christmas, but i don’t know that we have time to wait for those, and their prices wouldn’t be as negotiable as others that have been sitting on the market for awhile.)
Also, our dog Helix is sick. The vet thinks it’s lymphoma (she’s only 6 1/2!). We thought it was just our moldy house, but the oral prednisone that she’s on hasn’t helped as much as we’d hoped and we don’t want to do chemo. It’s hard to know how much longer she has or even how much pain she’s in. Praying for wisdom…
on a lighter note, here’s a funny Bekah quote…
It was late and she’d gotten out of bed to use the toilet. On our way back to her room, i said, “let’s go, cutie-patootie.” i don’t think i’ve used that nickname before and she said, “i’m not a cutie-patootie.”
me: “you’re not a cutie?”
Bekah: “i AM a cutie, but not a patootie.”

I’m so excited for your house search. We’re praying for you guys and your hunt for the home God has ready for you. I hope you, as a mama, are doing okay through this time of uncertainty and change. Wish I could be there for a long play date and mama chat session
